Re : Can someone tell me in what cases is necessary or useful caching an ajax call (cache: true) ? or when not? Could you give a practical example?

You cache it if you want it saved in the cache. When you request it again, it won't be necessary to get it from the server, and it will be faster.

You do not cache it if you do not want it saved in the cache. You want to always get it from the server. You probably would not want to cache, for example, a live stock market quote!
