yes, it would be work when adding different classes for each format function. However, there is another problem that would be raised in this case as I use many li and select element to apply different style. For instance use this HTML:

• normal


• italic


• oblique

The previous method that I used allows me to apply different styles on P element immediately.

using class for each li or option in order to apply different style would be more complicated.
